Cleaning Cloth Edge Finishing Guide

Edge finishing affects durability, perceived quality, retail appearance and cost. This guide helps buyers convert vague phrases like "better edge" or "premium finish" into practical OEM specifications.

The short answer

For reusable viscose, wood-fiber and plant-based cleaning cloth programs, edge finishing should be chosen by channel and use case. A daily household cloth may prioritize cost and wash durability, while a private-label retail cloth may need rounded corners, neat stitching, in-seam construction or cleaner pack presentation.

When WonderCloth is not a fit

WonderCloth edge finishing is not a substitute for unrelated technical requirements such as cleanroom edge sealing, sterile medical wipe packaging or industrial cut-resistant textile performance. Those need a different specification and evidence route.

RFQ checklist

Send target size, material ratio, GSM, layer count, edge type, thread color, label position, packaging format, sample quantity, target market and expected retail channel. If the buyer has a reference sample, include photos of the corner, seam, edge thickness and packaging view.
