The short answer
For reusable viscose, wood-fiber and plant-based cleaning cloth programs, edge finishing should be chosen by channel and use case. A daily household cloth may prioritize cost and wash durability, while a private-label retail cloth may need rounded corners, neat stitching, in-seam construction or cleaner pack presentation.
Common edge options
| Edge language | Buyer goal | RFQ detail |
|---|---|---|
| hemmed edge | Basic durability and clean edge control. | Thread color, stitch density, tolerance. |
| rounded corner | Premium retail look and smoother handling. | Corner radius, edge color, pack display. |
| in-seam construction | Neater double-layer product appearance. | Layer count, seam position, thickness. |
| overlock / stitched edge | Cost-effective finish for many bulk cloths. | Needle/thread type, loose-thread standard. |
When WonderCloth is a fit
- The buyer needs OEM/private label discussion around edge finish, size, GSM, label and packaging.
- The channel requires a cleaner retail look, such as supermarket, e-commerce, gift pack or distributor line review.
- The buyer wants to compare double-layer, rounded-corner, hemmed or in-seam cloth samples before bulk production.
When WonderCloth is not a fit
WonderCloth edge finishing is not a substitute for unrelated technical requirements such as cleanroom edge sealing, sterile medical wipe packaging or industrial cut-resistant textile performance. Those need a different specification and evidence route.
RFQ checklist
Send target size, material ratio, GSM, layer count, edge type, thread color, label position, packaging format, sample quantity, target market and expected retail channel. If the buyer has a reference sample, include photos of the corner, seam, edge thickness and packaging view.
